Changes to Interior Department's Acquisition Regulation Proposed

A proposed rule issued by the Department of the Interior would revise the Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulation. The rule proposes to make minor corrections to the Department's acquisition procedures to make the DIAR consistent with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, add a new clause covering contract administration roles and responsibilities, update references, and remove obsolete material. The new clause, proposed DIAR 1452.201-70, notifies contractors of their roles and responsibilities in complying with technical direction given by authorized representatives of the contracting officer. A complete list of the DIAR provisions affected by the proposed rule appears in the regulation table below. Comments referencing Regulation Identifier Number (RIN) 1093-AA13 are due May 23, 2011. For the text of the rule, see ¶72,375.01.
