The Department of Defense has issued a final rule that makes technical amendments to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement by updating the list of DoD contracting activities, and other references within the DFARS. The rule amends DFARS 202.101 to update the listings of DoD contracting activities, military departments, and defense agencies; DFARS 237.7204, to update the fill-in portion of a document format, to permit insertion of the calendar year; and the clause at DFARS 252.244-7000, to update a reference to a contract clause. Also, the rule updates organization names in DFARS 209.403, DFARS 214.407-3, and DFARS 227.7004. A subsequent correction to the rule (¶70,016.534) revises the definition of "contracting activity" at DFARS 202.101. The final rule is effective August 25, 2009.
