Explanations in Secured Transactions Guide updated to reflect amendments to UCC Article 9

As of May 21, 2013, the explanations in more than 25 states and the District of Columbia were updated in the Secured Transactions Guide on IntelliConnect to reflect the amendments to Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, released by the Uniform Laws Commission and the American Law Institute, that are effective July 1, 2013. Over the course of the next month, the explanations in the remaining nine states that have enacted the amendments will be updated. The amendments make changes to definitions, revise portions of Part 3—Perfection and Priority and Part 5—Filing, and create transition rules for the amended provisions. Explanations for each state menu by topics aligned with the UCC Article 9 arrangement and link to the full text of the state laws.

Upgrade for IPO Vital Signs

On May 1, Wolters Kluwer launched a new upgrade to the IPO Vital Signs website that improves the user experience and allows this advanced IPO research and analysis tool to be accessed via a wide range of mobile devices and web browsers.

New look for Medicare and Medicaid Guide newsletter

The newsletter sent with the weekly Medicare and Medicaid Guide report is now a two-color 8 ½ by 11 newsletter that includes all the news we have provided for over 40 years in our traditional sized letter, but in an easier to read format. The newsletter continues to be available as a downloadable PDF if you wish to access the Guide through IntelliConnect. All newsletter content is also still searchable on IntelliConnect. Training Tip for IntelliConnect

Can I access my IntelliConnect saved documents from my mobile device?
With the recent release of enhanced IC Mobile app 2.0, you can now access documents saved to ANY of your IntelliConnect Research Folders.

To save a document you’re viewing to a Research Folder:

  • Within IntelliConnect: Click the “Save/E-mail” pull-down at the top of your document and select Research Folders. A pop-up asking “Where would you like to save the selected documents?” will appear. Type a new folder name or click the pull-down and select an existing folder to place your document.
  • Within IC Mobile 2.0: Simply tap “Save To Folder” at the bottom of your screen and select the folder where you would like to place the document or tap “Create New Folder” and proceed.

All documents in your Research Folders are accessible via IntelliConnect and IC Mobile app. To retrieve a document from your Apple or Android mobile device when connected to IC Mobile, swipe the black menu bar (at top) to the right and tap “Research Folders.” All your folders will appear on the left, including the original Stored by Mobile folder from IC Mobile app 1.0. Simply select the desired Research Folder and click a document to open and view it.
