Now available: Secured Transactions Topics Smart Charts—Topic Summaries A to Z

The Secured Transactions Topics Smart Charts now include a new topic—Topic Summaries A to Z—that features 55 key concepts from the Secured Transactions Guide. You can use the Topic Summaries A to Z to find short summaries of important topics, along with links to full explanations, from all 50 states plus the District of Columbia.

Topic Summaries A to Z is the key to quickly locating secured transactions requirements for any state in three easy steps:

  1. Find the topic that best describes the problem—such as acceptance of collateral, choice of law, perfection, or waiver;
  2. Select the jurisdiction(s) in question; and
  3. Reveal a synopsis of the issue, along with links to the full explanatory text. In turn, the more detailed explanations provide further links to the full text of laws and regulations for review of statutory authority.

Once expanded, select from an alphabetical list of 55 key concepts:

Training Tip for Cheetah

Question: What is the easiest way to locate citation information for the documents I retrieve on Cheetah?

Answer: Cheetah is organized with a deep integration of content to quickly find citing formats, updating information, and for primary law: document history (amendment history and effective dates) from displayed documents using the Document Panel and its applicable tools. Open documents display in the viewing area on the right side of your screen, and the handy Document Panel on the left side allows one-click access to citation information.

Click on the Document Information button to display: document details, citing formats, and update frequency and schedule.
