Additional publication for Topic Navigator search tool—Coming September 2007

The popular Topic Navigator search tool will soon include another publication—Insights: The Corporate and Securities Law Advisor by Amy L. Goodman. Topic Navigator, a topically organized map of federal securities information, already allows you to search or browse by topic across the CCH Federal Securities Law Reporter and Securities Regulation by Loss, Seligman and Paredes.  Topic Navigator is found on the Securities tab under the Finding Devices blue bar.  We will alert you when Insights becomes available and stay tuned as we continue to add more publications to Topic Navigator.

Trial Attorneys Integrated Library

This new library on the CCH Internet Research NetWork is a powerful resource for attorneys practicing in the federal court system. The Judicial Research component combines Aspen Publishers’ Almanac of the Federal Judiciary and the Directory of Federal Court Guidelines into one library covering more than 2,000 judges. The Library also includes annual financial disclosure statements and Senate biographical questionnaires not available in print.

 

 

The Evidence component brings together Aspen Publishers’ three evidence titles — Wigmore on Evidence, New Wigmore: A Treatise on Evidence and Evidence: Practice under the Rules — to provide a comprehensive analytical and practical assessment of the Federal Rules of Evidence and how they apply to specific cases and issues. SEC Staff Comment Letters—coming September 2007

SEC Staff Comment Letters will be a new fully searchable database of SEC staff comment letters and issuer responses.  These letters provide important guidance and insight into how the SEC is interpreting and handling issues. The database is organized by filing category—Registrations, Periodic and current reports, Mutual funds, Proxy materials, Williams Act filings (mergers & acquisitions) and Other filings. Within each filing category you will be able to search by specific document types such as forms and schedules. Other search options include subject, public-availability date and citation.  In addition, handy links to the text of the source form allow quick reference to SEC disclosure requirements.  As the database contains more than 50,000 documents and is growing rapidly, these improved search options will expedite and simplify your research. 

 

 

Liquor Control Law Reports—coming September 2007

Liquor Control Law Reports will be the most comprehensive resource for alcohol control information available, covering the state and federal taxation and regulation of alcoholic beverages. Quick Tip of the Month
from the Training Department

 

 

Don't forget about Preferences.  Make sure to set up your Preferences for searching by going to the Preferences selection directly above the textbox.  Click on the next to the last tab (SET SEARCH OPTIONS).  For Search Results, type in 9999, for Search Methods, choose Boolean, and Apply Changes.  Your search preferences will be set until you go back in and change them.  You can also change them temporarily on the fly when performing individual searches.
