CCH Congressional Index transfer binders

In anticipation of materials from the 111^th Congress, subscribers to the CCH Congressional Index were recently sent transfer binders to hold materials from the 110^th Congress. However, customers who prefer to place materials for the 111^th Congress in a new binder may order five-ring binders ($19.50 each plus shipping and handling) by calling CCH Customer Service at 800 449-6435.

NEW PRODUCTS

CCH State and Federal Employee Privacy Compare

Employee Privacy Compare is the new online tool that provides summaries of state and federal employee privacy laws and regulations. Based on CCH “Smart Chart” functionality, you decide how many topics and which jurisdictions to compare. The search results, displayed in an intuitive chart format, include citations along with links to the full text of the corresponding law.

NEW EDITIONS

FAR and DFARS as of January 1, 2009

CCH’s Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as of January 1, 2009 is an all-inclusive reference and the leading source for the current FAR. The January 2009 edition includes major changes since January 2008, including the new FAC 2005-30 issued 1/15/09 and the amendment to FAC 2005-29 issued on 1-14-09.

New Website: CCH Financial Crisis News Center

The CCH Financial Crisis News Center is a free site that provides centralized coverage of the current financial crisis. Maintained by CCH attorney-editors and updated daily, the site tracks ongoing developments in the wide-ranging financial crisis and the multiple responses from lawmakers and regulatory agencies.

The home page presents timely news stories and analysis. Links to the full text of source documents are provided for regulatory actions. All materials are archived by topic and by agency or organization. An additional archive allows you to peruse by month. Under Market Crisis Web Headlines you’ll find links to stories from major news publications. Jim Hamilton’s World of Securities Regulation blog offers commentary on issues of particular importance to securities lawyers and their clients, and encourages a dialogue, with emphasis on SEC rulemaking and industry trends.

Subscribers to CCH publications will have access to links to CCH banking and securities law information on the crisis—including primary source material (e.g., legislation, regulations and agency issuances) and analytical content (e.g., white papers, journal articles and CCH explanations) arranged chronologically by issuing body.

New section added to Securities Update

“Market Crisis Resources” is the new section added to Securities Update, one of several free monthly practice area email updates from CCH. The Market Crisis Resources section directs users to crisis-related coverage found in CCH reporters, newsletters, white papers, and Jim Hamilton’s securities blog, plus a link to the new CCH Financial Crisis News Center.
