FTC Disclosure Rules for Franchising and Business Opportunities

On January 22, 2007, the Federal Trade Commission issued the first revision to the FTC franchise disclosure rule since it was promulgated in 1979. The Commission amended the rule to include separate requirements for franchising and business opportunity ventures and streamlined the disclosure requirements, minimized compliance costs and responded to changes in technologies and market conditions.

Wolters Kluwer Law & Business, in cooperation with the SLA Legal Division, is sponsoring a special travel grant for an academic law librarian to attend the 2007 Special Libraries Association’s annual conference, June 3-6, in Denver, Colorado.

To see how many results are in each publication after searching multiple publications . . .

Once you have retrieved your Search Results List, at the top there is a drop down that currently says Display by Document. Click on the drop down and select Display by Table of Contents – Hits Only. Now you will see all the hits organized into the publications/databases where they reside. If you click on the publication, it will expand to display sub-topics. If you click on the folder to the left of the topic or sub-topic, the list with those results will open.
