Investment Lawyer: Covering Legal and Regulatory Issues of Asset Management

The archive of this monthly newsletter—part of the CCH Investment Management Integrated Library—now includes issues dating back to 2000.

Availability of newsletter pdfs on the CCH Internet Research NetWork

Because newsletters can be made available more quickly in electronic format than in print, you may occasionally not see a Printable Version of This Issue link for the most recent issue. However, this is temporary as the pdf of the print version will always be posted online as soon as it is available.

NASD Manual now updated on a monthly basis

With the Exchange implementing rule changes at an accelerated pace, we wanted to keep our loose-leaf subscribers up to date, so the NASD has agreed to a monthly update schedule. Subscribers will now receive updates every month instead of every quarter.

FERC and GPO discontinue printing of FERC documents;

CCH’s printing of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Reports continues

Effective May 1, 2007, FERC and the GPO have ended their agreement with CCH to serve as the print publisher of FERC’s official publications: FERC Statutes and Regulations and FERC Reports, also known as the Federal Energy Guidelines program.

CCH will continue to provide these printed materials as it has for the past 25 years. Subscribers will see no change in content or update frequency. In case you are not aware, these materials are also available on the CCH Internet Research NetWork; please contact your rep to convert to online service.

If you have any questions, contact CCH Customer Service at 800-344-3734.

NEW PRODUCTS

Environmental Compliance Portfolio

This new portfolio is ideal for corporate counsel responsible for complying with environmental laws and regulations. It covers three core areas: Air Quality Compliance, Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Substances, Wastewater and Water Quality Compliance. Users may subscribe to any or all three areas.

The Environmental Compliance Portfolio gathers information from multiple sources. Regulatory analysis articles are issued as EPA regulatory actions appear in the Federal Register, and are linked to full text of Federal Register actions. Court case descriptions are also linked to the full text of the cases and regulations. And the thousands of U.S. EPA guidance documents are linked to the full text of regulations.

In the coming weeks, coverage will include state-specific analysis, statutes, regulations and guidance documents for states with the largest number of industrial facilities, as identified by the EPA.

For more information about the new Environmental Compliance Portfolio, contact your Account Representative or go to: http://hr.cch.com/environmental
