CCH Chicago office closed Friday

Due to emergency repair work on an electrical transformer, the CCH office at 4025 W. Peterson Avenue will be closed from 7:00 a.m. Friday, May 23 through 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24. Kluwer Law International and LawInContext have partnered to produce Kluwer Borderwatch, an online resource for companies seeking proactive enforcement of their intellectual property. Kluwer Borderwatch simplifies multi-country protection and enforcement issues by providing online country-by-country information on how to effectively use customs procedures and controls to help protect a company’s intellectual property.

All content has been created by Baker & McKenzie with contributions from lawyers active in the intellectual property arena. Email notifications are sent out informing users of content updates and key developments.

CCH World Wide Tax Rates & Answers now covers Russia and Europe in one module

Based upon customer demand, the European Union + Switzerland module (World Wide Tax Rates & Answers: Europe) has been combined with the Central/Eastern Europe module. This new module, World Wide Tax Rates & Answers: Europe Complete, enables quick multijurisdictional comparisons across all of Europe at once.

This new module is a CCH exclusive, as no other provider offers these tax rates updated in real-time, along with forms and instructions translated into English.

SEC Staff Comment Letters now available as a separate subscription

As of July 1, 2008, SEC Staff Comment Letters will no longer be part of individual subscriptions to the CCH Federal Securities Law Reporter. The comment letters were included with the reporter on an introductory basis, but now must be purchased separately. SEC Comment Letters are still part of the CCH Federal Securities Regulation Integrated Library at no charge.

Exchange Archives

When planning for a compliance examination, responding to exam findings, or preparing for arbitration or other litigation, a current copy of the rules is not enough. The Rule Archives from Wolters Kluwer Financial Services were created to help bridge that gap.

Tracking online usage with LookUp Precision

LookUp Precision features password management that simplifies log-in, and client matter prompts allow specific research projects to be associated with cost codes. Usage data can then be exported to billing systems to aid in cost recovery.

Our free monthly email update service by practice area has been enhanced. Subscribers can now have updates sent through the RSS reader service of their choice. These monthly updates are written by our expert editorial staff and offer news and views by practice area including antitrust, banking, government contracting, products liability, energy, transportation, securities and ethics. (This does not affect the Business News Updates which are part of your subscriptions on the CCH Internet Research NetWork.)
