Understanding the New Disability and Genetic Discrimination Laws of 2008

This new title explains how disability will be defined under the new Disabilities Amendments Act (ADAAA) which takes effect January 1, 2009.

The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) and the ADAAA will require employers to change their approach to applicants and employees with disabilities. Understanding the New Disability and Genetic Discrimination Laws of 2008 will help unravel those laws and their enforcement provisions, including their relationship with other federal and state laws.
