Links to PDFs of forms

Starting Monday, October 19, research content that formerly linked from CCH explanations or other research content to PPIII (tax forms) and/or WK Forms for Blue Sky, Government Contracts, Pension and Payroll will now link to a PDF version of the form in all research products. Features include:

Links to forms in research content will open up a PDF file in the user’s PDF browser
The PDF form generally opens more quickly than when it opens in PPIII
Link directly to instructions and IRS publications from research content
All links to forms will work in all research content; there are no authenticating form sets resulting in some links not working as was the case with links to PPIII forms
Links to annual forms will be updated much more quickly as the new forms become available

Report letters for CCH Federal Banking Law Reporter and Commodity Futures Law Reporter available via Ozmosys

The report letters of the CCH Federal Banking Law Reporter-Internet and the CCH Commodity Futures Law Reporter-Internet are now available for delivery by Ozmosys, the e-mail consolidation and distribution service. If your firm subscribes to Ozmosys, contact your CCH Account Representative about having these report letters added to your Ozmosys e-mail.

IntelliForms interactive forms

IntelliForms is a new platform and tool for accessing WK Forms, including Perform Plus III (PPIII tax forms and/or WK forms), Blue Sky, Government Contracts, IRA Guide, Pension, Payroll, HR and Employment forms.

Benefits of IntelliForms include:

· Easy to learn and use with a simple interface and intuitive toolbar

· Data flows from draft form to final form, and from worksheet to related form

· Use Filters and/or Search to find a desired form—once a form is located, quickly link to the relevant section of official instructions

· IntelliForms checks for the latest version of a form each time a form is opened

SEC filings to be available through Securities Topic Navigator—coming November 2009

Selected SEC filings from the SECnet Topical database will be linked to their corresponding topics in Securities Topic Navigator and available to SECnet subscribers. This new feature will provide Topic Navigator users with relevant SEC filings alongside related law and expert guidance.

To access SEC filings, Topic Navigator users will need an SECnet ID. SECnet IDs can be set up on a transactional or flat rate subscription basis. Transactional users will have free Topical searching and will be charged only for document downloads. Flat rate subscribers will have unlimited searching and downloading on SECnet.

(Topic Navigator is a finding device available with various securities publications such as the Federal Securities Law Reporter. SECnet is the CCH online securities filings research service.)

NEW EDITION

SEC Compliance & Disclosure Interpretations Manual

CCH has recently published a convenient soft-cover version of the SEC’s compliance and disclosure interpretations (C&DIs). A fully-integrated compilation of informal guidance from the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance, SEC Compliance & Disclosure Interpretations reproduces the staff’s responses to numerous inquiries about the statutes, rules and forms it administers. These responses, previously known as “telephone interpretations,” serve as an indicator of how the Division and the Commission itself might proceed formally in various scenarios. After exhausting cases, releases and no-action letters, practitioners often turn to this resource for guidance.

The manual includes references to the controlling authority (e.g., law section, rule, item, form), as well as history notes indicating when the interpretation was issued, modified and/or rescinded. Coverage includes new and revised interpretations issued through September 14, 2009, e.g., new guidance on Regulation 13D-G, Regulation S-K, the Securities Act rules, Regulation S-T and Form 8-K.

Formerly published as the CCH SEC Telephone Interpretations Manual, the new manual is also available on the Internet.

When viewing a document, click on the link for Document Path to open a listing of Browse tree topics indicating the location of the document within your subscription contents. You can click on any topic within the Document Path to go directly to that location in the Browse tree and access nearby material.
