Q: How can I keep a date criteria persistent when I am running several similar searches?
A: To enter a date criteria once and have it persist in future searches, click and open the Search Options command and enter your date criteria in the 'Search by Date' fields. When you execute your search, you'll see a small calendar icon in the search expression field. This means the date restriction is still selected so you can change your search expression without having to re-key the date criteria. To remove the date restriction, simply click on the calendar icon in the search expression.

- Commentary from the SEC and leading practitioners in the industry who offer practical guidance on the law's impact.
