Q: How can I do a lengthy search expression but still enable the Thesaurus to include alternate synonyms?
A: As a convenience, IntelliConnect is set with Thesaurus ON (checked in Search Options) by default so your searches will automatically include synonyms for terms in your search expression. However, if your search expression is over 10 terms (including operators [AND, OR, NOT] and connectors [W/SEN, P/4], IntelliConnect turns off the Thesaurus and only searches for exact terms in your search expression.
To conduct lengthy searches and still use the Thesaurus, start your search with a few terms and then change the search scope to 'within results', delete your prior search expression, and type in the next search expression (less than 10 words). This way, the Thesaurus will still include any synonyms for your search terms automatically.

Securities and Derivatives Reform in 2010: A Guide to the Legislation—Coming late September
Scheduled to publish immediately after the bill becomes law, this book will provide comprehensive analysis of the upcoming securities and derivatives reforms. A complement to the initial Law, Explanation and Analysis book, it will delve deeper into the SEC and CFTC aspects of the new law.
It will explain every provision of this complex legislation affecting the areas of securities, derivatives and corporate governance. Commentary from leading practitioners in the industry will offer practical guidance and insights on the law's impact.
The book will display the Act provisions in two ways: (1) as passed; and (2) as codified into existing laws (e.g., the relevant Exchange Act provisions, as amended). Explanation of the legislation will include analysis of the relevant legislative history, detailed citations to new and amended law sections, editorial comments and caution notes. The CCH Health Reform Toolkit is a new workflow tool for navigating, understanding and monitoring health care reform laws and regulations.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 have altered the face of health care. The CCH Health Reform Toolkit is a suite of tools called SmartCharts that help you understand how these laws affect your organization by breaking down the 3,000-plus pages of legislation into easy-to-understand topics related to the hospital, pharmaceutical and legal industries.
Each SmartChart allows you to navigate health reform legislation by the topics and sub-topics relevant to the chart selected. Charts give you summaries of the law section with links to full analysis in the online edition of CCH's Law, Explanation and Analysis of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
