Training tip for
IntelliConnect

Q: How can I save a search that includes a specific combination of targeted databases and search terms that I have found yields a high number of results relevant to my issue?

A: To save a search you have just performed, click the 'Save' command in the gray toolbar at the top of your search results, select "Save search," choose to rename or keep the default name and click save. To rerun the search, click Saved Searches command in the top right menu of your IntelliConnect display, and click the "search now" link for the search you wish to rerun.

Federal banking Advance Release Documents available for e–mail delivery

Advance Release Documents for Federal Banking are now available for delivery in a separate e-mail containing the entire contents of a day’s update. This service is offered with the IntelliConnect option that allows users to sign up for E-Newsletters/Report Letters. This is an alternative to the abbreviated format provided in the standard Tracker News e–mail. The Advance Release Documents provide federal banking highlights of significant current events and regulatory activity. Posted stories discuss important developments with links to full text of source documents.

Coming March 2011: Corporation Service Smart Charts

Beginning in March 2011, Corporation Service—Internet will have a significant enhancement: Corporation Service Smart Charts. The new Smart Charts will help online users locate and compare the full text of corporation law provisions by topic and state. The initial release will contain the complete law for the nine states accounting for 80% of domestic public company incorporations: Delaware, California, Texas, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, and Nevada. The Smart Charts tool is available with subscriptions to Corporation Service at no additional cost.

    The new Smart Charts will allow you to:

  • Quickly locate relevant law using our exclusive topic tree—without the need for complicated full–text searches
  • Accurately compare corporation law and rules across multiple jurisdictions
  • Quickly read the laws of different jurisdictions "side-by-side" using both a matrix and/or tabular view

New—CCH Carryover Basis Answers

Now that either the estate tax rules or those governing carryover basis can be elected for the estates of decedents dying in 2010, it’s essential to determine the best plan for your clients and document how you applied the calculation.
