How can I automatically replace a search results tab with a new set of results? (so that I don't get prompt to delete a tab when I hit limit of 5 search results tabs)

Turn Auto Tabs OFF (icon is located on the upper right margin, under Search Options). Any subsequent search will automatically replace the contents of the current tab.

How can I increase the number of viewable items on each search results page?

How can I view the context where a search result resides within my subscription contents?

When viewing a document, click on the link for Document Path to open a listing of Browse tree topics indicating the location of the document within your subscription contents. You can click on any topic within the Document Path to go directly to that location in the Browse tree and access nearby material.

How can I retrieve all items from a specific section of the Browse tree menu?

After drilling down through the Browse tree menu, you can select specific items, (the search scope will automatically change to 'selected content), enter an asterisk (*) into the search expression box, and click Go. The asterisk (*) is a wildcard that looks for all characters so it will not restrict the search and you'll retrieve everything that you've selected.

How can I create custom links to specific material?

Open the Browse tree and drill down into selected content. You can click the checkbox(es) for desired material and then click the chain link command (top right of browse tree pane) to open a window with the URLs for selected items. You can expand any of these items to check additional boxes and include links to underlying materials. Scroll down to the bottom of this window and click on 'Copy URLs to Windows Clipboard'. Then open another application (MS Word, Email) and Paste your clipboard contents. You can then use those URLs to create Browser Favorites, customize web pages, incorporate into communications/presentations, etc.
