Interactive Forms (IntelliForms)

May 10, 2010 - Ability to turn off automatic form updating and choose when to run updates.

Here’s how the new feature works:

IntelliForms is defaulted to update automatically to ensure that users have the latest program and forms. As a best practice, leave the “automatic update” preference item enabled.
Users can turn off automatic updating by deselecting the preference item on the new “Automatic Update” preferences tab.
With updating turned off, users are able to get form and program updates at any time by clicking the new #8220;Updates” toolbar button on either the Blank Forms Manager or the Client Forms Manager. (Both the Blank Forms Manager and the Client Forms Manager will display the last date and time an update occurred. )
- If automatic updating is turned off and a user opens a form that has not already been downloaded, IntelliForms will connect to the web and download the requested form.
- If a client is open when a user clicks the “Updates” toolbar button, that client will have to be closed following the update and reopened for any updates to apply to that client.
