Accountant Suspended After Injunctions Entered
An
accountant was suspended from practicing before the Commission. The individual
had previously been enjoined from future violations and otherwise sanctioned by
a federal district court. As alleged, the accountant participated in a
fraudulent scheme in which a company made misleading disclosures in its Form
10-K. The Commission charged that the accountant substantially participated in
the preparation and signed each filing, and that he knew, or was reckless in not
knowing, that each filing was misleading.
In
the Matter of Raymond L. Mathiasen, Release No. 34-55887, is reported at ¶87,924.
